The Cozy MK-IV is not just an airplane. It is a declaration — and it was built, not bought. You cannot walk onto a lot and buy one. You purchase a license, you receive a set of plans, and then you follow them step by step until an aircraft exists where there was none. Serial number SS1541, registration N541EX, co-built by John Walden and Steven Scott — both listed with the FAA as the manufacturers of this aircraft.

The entire fuselage is composite — fiberglass laid up by hand and cured in epoxy resin. No rivets, no aluminum skin. Shape built out of cloth and chemistry, sanded and faired and sanded again until the airflow has nothing left to argue with. It earned its FAA airworthiness certificate in Arlington, Washington, issued by the Seattle FSDO. She travels with the Odyssey Cat, flying crew and guests to and from wherever the catamaran is anchored. The panel is a Dynon SkyView glass cockpit designed by Walden and Scott in 2022. A Lycoming O-360 turns the prop. She will do 200 miles per hour, but we cruise her at 65 to 75 percent power — 150 to 180. Four seats: pilot and three passengers, weight and balance permitting.

Captain Steven Scott is an FAA-certified commercial pilot and flight instructor with decades in the left seat. Golden Ticket winners fly this aircraft — three hours of free dual instruction, every minute of it loggable toward a private pilot certificate.

Home on the Water

The Odyssey Cat is an Ocean Cat 49, designed by Eric Lerouge — a twin-hull bluewater performance catamaran engineered to go anywhere on this planet's surface. She is home. She is adventure. She is freedom with a mast and the whole ocean as a front yard.

She is in South Florida right now, hauled out and waiting on a full gel coat and paint refit — and a complete interior makeover that includes a proper YouTube podcast studio built into the boat — the space where the Wings N Waves Channel team films, edits and uploads content for upcoming episodes. She is also getting an entirely new electrical system: a 5 kW, 48‑volt lithium battery bank capable of running two air conditioners around the clock, seven days a week. Picture that — a guest stateroom held at whatever temperature you like, at anchor, anywhere in the Caribbean, with no generator droning through the night. When the refit is done she returns to the water and resumes the odyssey. The Ocean Cat 49 and the Odyssey Cat are based throughout the Caribbean. Every port becomes a chapter. Every coastline becomes a story. And the crew — Steve, Juliette, Nate, and Ian — live this life every day, documenting every extraordinary moment for Wings N Waves Channel.

Born in Idaho — yes, the Gem State, yes, like the potato — Kasper has come an extraordinary distance from the pine-covered hills of his birth. Today this magnificent white cockatoo rules every jetty he lands on, commands pine tree canopies from the Pacific Northwest to the mountains, and stops entire beach crowds dead in their tracks with a single well-timed head tilt. He is the Superstar. He always has been. He always will be.

Sparky swept in straight from Hawaii bringing every single color of the rainbow with him. A scarlet macaw of extraordinary personality, even more extraordinary wingspan, and an opinion about absolutely everything. He is the drama. He is the spectacle. He is the reason entire families stop mid-walk on Ocean Beach and stare with their mouths open.

Steve has been performing with parrots for over two decades. His shows don't just entertain — they change how people see animals. How they see intelligence. How they see themselves. People don't just like these shows. They remember them for the rest of their lives.

A monkey is not a pet. A parrot is not a decoration. A wild animal is not a possession. These are sentient, deeply social, wildly intelligent beings who form bonds that last a lifetime, who feel grief and joy and frustration and love — and who suffer enormously when placed in the wrong environment, even by people with the best of intentions.

Amazon Angels exists because Steve and Juliette looked into the eyes of troubled animals — animals that had been passed from owner to owner, misunderstood, neglected, isolated, or simply overwhelmed with love that didn't know how to be love — and they refused to look away. They said yes. They always say yes.

Our farm sits in the redwoods above the Pacific, north of San Francisco. This is where the rescue lives and breathes. We take troubled parrots and monkeys one at a time, and every one of them becomes family — because that is what love is supposed to look like. We ask nothing in return except that they trust us — which they always eventually do. And once they do, they discover something that perhaps they have never known before: that they are safe. That they are loved. That their life matters. That this is their home now, and no one is ever, ever taking them away.

Wings N Waves Channel is a proud Coastal Cleanup International partner. Wherever the Odyssey Cat drops anchor — the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe — we do not just arrive as visitors. We arrive as stewards. We recruit the local community to join us in cleaning the coastline, and then we leave it better than we found it.

This is not an obligation. This is a philosophy. We believe that the act of cleaning your environment changes your relationship with it. People who clean a beach together see that beach differently — and they see each other differently. Something shifts. A community forms. A sense of collective ownership takes root. And the world becomes, in that moment, a slightly better place.

If everyone did a little, not only would it return our beautiful Earth to the pristine conditions it deserves — it would evolve the consciousness of every human being who participated. That is the deeper mission. That is what we are really cleaning.
